教育: BA, Dordt大学, 1974; Master of Education, University of Washington, 1979; Doctor of Philosophy, 爱荷华大学, 1988. 在SPU 2001-2019. 自2019年起退休.

Dr. Eigenbrood has served as Dean of the 教育学院 since 2008. Prior to that time he served as Associate Dean for 研究生 Education, Director of the Doctoral Studies Program, 评税署署长, and Chair of 特殊教育. Dr. Eigenbrood also continues to teach and serve on dissertation committees in the 教育学院’s doctoral studies program.

One of his current research interests is special education law, particularly as it relates to faith-based schools. He has also written and spoken extensively on issues on community and congregational integration of people with disabilities, and school-to-work adjustment for youth with disabilities.

Dr. Eigenbrood is a former special education teacher who continues to be committed to providing quality education to all children. He believes that SPU’s 教育学院 is uniquely positioned to make a positive impact on P–12 schools through the preparation of excellent teachers, 学校辅导员, 学校管理人员, and other school leaders.

Dr. Eigenbrood, through his involvement with the 教育学院’s Center for Global Curriculum Studies, 曾到过中国, 韩国, 俄罗斯, and the UK where he has presented papers on disability issues and quality education for all children.
